Chosen for a demanding real-world brief.
The relationship began when Linnworks approached Pricemaster to join them on a major retail project. Their prospective customer was extremely happy with Linnworks, but needed a specialist pricing platform that could monitor priority, high-end competitors, run several market checks and price changes each day, and apply controlled strategy across a catalogue of thousands of SKUs.
The retailer was clear about the approaches that would not meet the brief and asked Linnworks to identify the strongest partner for the job. After in-depth product demonstrations and detailed commercial and technical discussions, Linnworks selected Pricemaster as the pricing partner for that project because the core requirements were already handled by the platform.
That gave both teams something better than a theoretical connector: a live, complex requirement to engineer around. Since then, we have looked closely at how each platform manages data and built a direct integration that carries richer catalogue and commercial context than a standard ecommerce-platform connection.
Pricing automation that could keep pace with a serious multichannel operation.
The result: an integration built around a real catalogue, real competitors and real commercial guardrails.
Two platforms. One connected pricing loop.
Neither platform tries to replace the other. Linnworks runs the operational centre of the business; Pricemaster adds the pricing intelligence layer.

The operational truth
Linnworks connects inventory, orders, warehouses, listings and shipping across 100+ channels, keeping multichannel commerce synchronised and manageable.

The pricing intelligence
Pricemaster matches products to priority competitors, monitors the market, applies your strategy and checks every recommendation against margin guardrails.
| Workflow | Linnworks | Pricemaster |
|---|---|---|
| Catalogue context | Holds the catalogue, cost and stock data used across the operation. | Reads the fields required for competitor matching, pricing and margin calculations. |
| Channel operations | Connects the business across 100+ channels and remains the operational source of truth. | Adds one pricing intelligence layer across the connected catalogue. |
| Pricing decisions | Supplies current operational context without replacing the pricing workflow. | Applies competitor strategy, cost, VAT and minimum-margin guardrails. |
| Price distribution | Distributes the approved RetailPrice through the channel connections already in place. | Writes the approved base RetailPrice back through the official Linnworks API. |
| Orders, listings and stock | Continues to manage orders, listings, stock quantities and channel configuration. | Does not modify those operational records or settings. |
From Linnworks catalogue to live channel prices, without the spreadsheet in between.
The integration forms a controlled closed loop. Linnworks stays at the centre of your operation while Pricemaster continuously handles market intelligence and pricing decisions.
Import the sellable catalogue
Pricemaster securely reads your Linnworks stock items. Variation-parent placeholders are skipped so the products being monitored and priced are the products customers can actually buy.
Match and monitor the market
GTIN, barcode and other product signals help connect each SKU to the right competitor listings. Priority competitors can then be checked several times through the day.
Apply strategy and guardrails
Your rules decide whether to match, beat, hold or promote. Purchase cost, VAT and margin floors keep the calculation commercially safe.
Write the approved RetailPrice
Pricemaster sends the new base retail price back through the official Linnworks API, automatically on schedule or manually when your team chooses.
Let Linnworks distribute it
Linnworks continues doing the channel work it already does, propagating the price through the marketplace and webstore connections attached to each item.
More than a price-only connector.
Because Linnworks already manages so much of the catalogue, Pricemaster can price with the cost, tax, stock and identity data needed to make safer decisions at scale.
Clear operational boundaries
A strong integration should be precise about what it controls. Linnworks remains your source of truth; Pricemaster acts only where the pricing workflow needs it.
A faster pricing operation, without losing control.
One catalogue, one rule set
Manage pricing centrally instead of creating a separate manual process for every connected channel.
Margin defended by design
Percentage and cash-margin floors take priority whenever a competitor-led rule would go too far.
React several times a day
Scheduled monitoring and price cycles keep high-priority ranges aligned with a fast-moving market.
Explain every change
See the old price, new price, margin and rule behind each automated decision in the audit trail.
A partnership with room to move beyond the webstore.
Linnworks opens a much wider operational picture than a single ecommerce-platform connector. That gives both teams a strong foundation for deeper marketplace-aware pricing, channel-specific strategy and richer profitability tools over time.
We are proud to be building alongside a team with more than 15 years in ecommerce operations, and excited by what the combination can become for multichannel retailers.
Marketplace-aware strategy
Apply margin and pricing logic with greater awareness of where each product is sold.
Channel economics
Explore fee- and cost-aware pricing approaches across marketplaces and webstores.
Richer profitability insight
Planned order and sales-history inputs can support deeper commercial analysis in a future platform version.
